Dr. Matthew Lang DVM

Dr. Matthew Lang was born in Warren, Ohio in 1961 and attended W.T. White High School in Dallas. He received both his undergraduate degree in 1985 and a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1993 from Texas A&M University. Prior to founding Cibolo Creek Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Lang was the owner of Forest Park Veterinary Hospital in Dallas for 10 years & was an associate at North Dallas Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Lang has developed a special interest in surgery and is capable of performing a variety of orthopedic & soft tissue procedures.

Dr. Lang and his wife Brenda have been married 30 years and currently live in Boerne. They enjoy spending time outdoors with their two sons Benjamin and Daniel. Ben is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is currently in his 3rd year of medical school at UTHSC in San Antonio. Daniel is a senior at Boerne Champion High School and will attend Texas A& M University this Fall. When he isn’t working to keep his animal patients healthy, you’ll probably find Dr. Lang fishing on the Texas Coast or working with his favorite retrieving dogs Maddie and Sammie. Dr. Lang also enjoys ice hockey & is an avid Dallas Stars and A&M Football fan.


Dr. Karin Hinkle DVM

Dr. Hinkle graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. After graduation she completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at The University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She returned to Texas and entered veterinary practice in the San Antonio area. She developed an interest in diagnostic veterinary ultrasound and began taking ultrasound courses with Sound-Eklin diagnostic imaging. She later became employed by Sound-Eklin assisting in their veterinary ultrasound education courses during her weekends off from private practice. She has also had the opportunity to work for The Department of Defense as a civilian instructor for courses taught to veterinarians and veterinary technicians in the United States Army. Most recently, she trained under and worked for a board certified radiologist performing mobile veterinary ultrasound services for veterinary clinics in the San Antonio, Boerne, and New Braunfels area.

Dr. Hinkle enjoys spending her free time with her family of four dogs and two cats as well as with her boyfriend, Charlie, and his dog and two cats. She treasures time with her mom and sharing their common interest in quilting. Her other interests include hiking with the dogs, reading, photography, and interior design.


Dr. Marissa Klein DVM

Although Dr. Marissa Klein is a Colorado native, San Antonio has been her home since 1996. Upon arriving in San Antonio, she worked as a molecular biology research assistant at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She had plans to move back to Colorado to go to veterinary school, but instead, her journey took her to Texas A&M where she received her doctorate in veterinary medicine in 2003. After graduation, she joined and worked the last 11 years at a small animal practice in San Antonio.

Dr. Klein married a Boerne native, George, and they have lived in Boerne since 2006. They have four young children, Mallory, Logan, Corey and Ava as well as 4 four-legged kiddos. Outside of work, she helps teach Sunday school at St. John Lutheran Church, helps lead an American Heritage Girls troop, chauffeurs her kids to their various activities, and enjoys outdoor activities with her family.


Jennifer Evans

Jennifer was born and raised in Dallas, which is where she lived prior to moving to Boerne in 2010. She worked with Dr. Lang at his practice in Dallas and it paved the road to the beautiful Hill Country to help start Cibolo Creek Veterinary Hospital. Jennifer is an avid Cowboy and Mavericks fan (she had to learn the hard way what people thought about her favorite team here in the land of the Spurs). In her down time is she enjoys working out, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with friends and family. She has worked in the animal field since she was 15. She started out in the kennel, spent a brief time as a receptionist while she was getting her technician certification. One of her most interesting jobs was with Dr. Munger a board certified Animal Ophthalmologist in Dallas, which led her to North Dallas Veterinary Hospital where she stayed until her move here. Her Rottweiler “Capone” is her baby and can do no wrong in her eyes, “Creo” her Dachshund is a trouble maker in every possible way. Jennifer has a true passion for rescuing animals and finding them forever homes which inspired her to start One Love Pet Orphanage with a couple close friends. She loves coming to work and looks forward to what each days brings. The best part of her job is the clients and their pets, which she considers an extended part of her family. She truly values the relationships she builds with each and every one of them.


Shannon Chambly

Shannon was born in Dallas and lived there until 2010 when she decided to come down to Boerne and be a part of the original staff that opened Cibolo Creek Veterinary Hospital. She has strong organizational skills and is the back bone of our great front desk team. Shannon’s experience started 7 years ago when she took her first job as a receptionist in a veterinary practice. She quickly made her move to North Dallas Veterinary Hospital where she learn all about how a front desk should be run in a very busy practice, which gave her exceptional training and helped develop the qualities that make her a valuable part of our hospital. . She is an avid Pit Bull and animal rescue advocate. She adopted her Pit Bull “Penny” from an animal shelter and even though she gets herself into trouble, she has turned out to be an amazing companion. Shannon enjoys learning about dog obedience, warm weather, and spending time with family. She helped start One Love Pet Orphanage and is proud to assist in the placement of homeless pets to loving families.


Kristin Antenen

Kristin started with Cibolo Creek Vet Hospital in October of 2011. Her love of animals and the outdoors comes from her grandfather and started when she was very young. Kristin graduated from Texas A&M University in 2010 with a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science with a specialty in Animal Behavior Management. A New Braunfels native, Kristin moved to Boerne with her husband Brandon in early 2011 to be closer to family. Kristin is the proud dog mom of two Westies, Mackenzie and Maddox, and her rescue baby MJ, a Jack Russell. She is also the servant to the queen of the house her cat Mila. Brandon and Kristin love to visit market days and walk the dogs at Cibolo Creek Nature Center. Kristin looks forward to expanding her technician skills and meeting new clients.


Adrian Verastegui

Adrian is from Laredo and has been living in the hill country area for over 6 years. When he’s not at the hospital or visiting his family back home, he’s spending time with his two sons, Adrian & Oliver, and their best friend Spot. Adrian enjoys looking for any excuse to fire up the grill, especially for a Green Bay Packers game, and will always be willing to take his tools out for a quick fix. Adrian’s passion for helping animals has carried on since childhood and is honored to be serving the residents of Boerne. Adrian started in our lodging area as a pet care attendant and through hard work and determination quickly became a very hard working technician assistant.


Danielle Griese

Danielle Griese was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin until she decided to take the long drive to Texas in May of 2014. She obtained an Associates Degree in criminal justice but decided to start her career to match her real passion in life, animals. She started grooming animals in early 2011 and hasn’t looked back since! She has two dogs, Taydem (the pretty little princess on her lap) and Minnie the pug! In her spare time, when she isn’t spending time with her beloved pups you can find her catching up on her favorite reality TV shows, face timing her friends and family back home and exploring Texas with her boyfriend, James.


Jackie Whisner

Jackie has been with Cibolo Creek Vet Hospital for since mid 2013. She moved back to Texas from North Carolina, where she first started working as a receptionist in the Veterinary field. Her love for animals has grown tremendously over the past few years and her dedication to providing the best customer service. She is attending Northwest Vista and plans to continue on to UTSA after. Jackie and her husband John, an Army veteran, live in Boerne with their Ragdoll Pringles and Mitch, a boa constrictor. She loves working out, quilting, gardening, and cooking! Happy to be back in Texas, they love spending time with their family and enjoying the beautiful Hill Country.


Natalie Brunner

Natalie has worked in the veterinary field for 15 years and she joined the
Cibolo Creek Team in 2012. Natalie and her husband AJ have been happily
married for 13 years. She is a busy mother of an 11 year old son Zayne and
a 9 year old daughter Mallory. Also keeping her busy is her Mastiff Dakota,
a German Shepherd Mika, 3 kitties Tango, Cash and Bobby; 2 Bearded Dragons
Hunter and Penny; and an aquarium of African Cichlids. In her “spare” time
she loves outdoor activities with her family.
